Throughout the KOTOR games, there are a number of quests, and (especially companion) dialog conversations that yield special bonus feats, or permanent increases to the statistics of the PC (or an NPC companion). For example, repairing the various droids or breaking Hanharr's will in KOTOR 2 yields some free stats, or sparring with the handmaiden yielding the Battle Precognition feat that adds a Wisdom bonus to Defense.
Given the high importance of reaching various skill and stat break points (18 Con, multiples of 2 in other stats, crafting minimums for various skills), and the very high cost of raising stats above 14 at character creation, (and the opportunity cost of 'wasting' other feats or potential increases) it's helpful to know what the total bonuses one can expect over the course of a game to plan out a character. Thus the question: what is the complete list of these static bonuses (I.E. Not from equipment or buff or a class feature or a standard level up) that can be earned over the course of the game?
I'm playing with the TSLCRM Restored Content and M4-78 Restoration mods, if those have any bearing on the answer to this question.
I'm mainly interested in those bonuses gained by the Exile, but having bonuses for companions compiled (beyond the obvious 'becoming a Jedi') would be nice too.

copy pasta from google search:
• Fully repairing T3 gives him +2 DEX, +1 CON, & +3 INT. It also gives the Exile +1 WIS & +10FP. The whole thing requires 14 INT, 20 Computer Use & 20 Repair, along with sufficiently high or low influence.
• Fully exhausting Hanharrs' dialogue trees give him +2 STR, -2 INT & +2 CON, and gives the Exile +1 CON & +1 WIS. This requires sufficient influence with him (there might be some skill/attribute related dialogue checks involved, I'm not sure)
• After fully exhausting Hanharrs' dialogue until you 'break him' you can then talk to Kreia for the 'Lesson of Strength.' Accepting this lesson gives a further +2 STR & +1 CON to the Exile. I have also read that you can reject this lesson and get a different attribute bonus (I've read +2 WIS). This requires passing Wisdom dialogue checks with Kreia, though I'm also not sure how high Wisdom is needed.
• Kreia gives you +6 FP and +1 Awareness for doing the first part of the 'Lesson of Listening' and another +6 FP for continuing it. (Not sure if there's any requirements for these)
Kotor 2 Mandalore Influence
• Kreia gives another +6 FP for completing the 'Lesson of Skills.' (I've read that being able to complete this and the listening lesson was an unintended bug and patched at some point, though that seems strange.)
• HK-47 gives +1 Reflex Save, +1 WIS, +1 CON & +10 FP when you complete his first lesson in killing jedi, and the same bonus again for completing the second lesson. These require sufficiently high/low enough influence with HK to unlock.
• I have also read you can get an attribute bonus for T3 and HK by bringing them in your party to GOTO's yacht, though I don't know the specifics of this.
• Visas gives +10FP and Force Sight for following her dialogue paths and having sufficient influence with her.
• Handmaiden adds your WIS bonus to your defence.
• TSLRCM adds back in the option to spar with Visas under Kreia's supervision. Not sure on level/influence requirements or rewards from this.
• Asking Atton about why he counts pazaak cards in his head after the listening lesson from Kreia gives you +1 Will saves
TSLRCM: Sparring with Visas gives you 1000 XP and Lightsaber Focus/Specialization if you don't have them.

So I still am a bit anal out my last playthrough of KOTOR 2 because of so much I did not know. How the fuck was I suppose to know that most of the party members can be Jedi?
http://www.gog.com/forum/general/so_i_beaten_kotor_2_for_the_first_time_too_bad_ended_up_with_the_worst_outcome/post1
I mean jeez the Malachor V finale did not end up well. No one was Jedi, Visas died, the Shadow Mass Machine failed because G0-t0 stopped it. Man last time I play an RPG blind, this is why people always want to get the best possible outcomes they desire in many RPGs because otherwise your in for a rather dissipointing playthrough.
So anyway I am just curious that can everyone have max influance without comprimise? And also how do I make these characters become Jedi themselves?

There are guides out there that tell you how to maximize the influence points. One weirdness is that they never tell you if they are written with tslrcm in mind (or if so, which version).
One thing I can tell you for sure is that sometimes you have to choose to gain influence with one follower while losing it with another. Likewise, some encounters will permit you to gain influence with one follower among a few choices. You have to bring the one you want to influence and leave the other behind.
Closely related to influence is darkside/lightside points. Often you must lose points from the side you wish to favor in order to get some influence.
Personally, I hate using the guides. I prefer to make the choices that feel right to me. It pisses me off a bit that it means that I can't hope to unlock all the abilities and content that I would if I kept a book handy to help me navigate through every conversation. I guess that's just the nature of the rpg beast.

Star Wars™: Knights of the Old Republic seriesEasy Dark Side Points and EXP (Exploit)
[edit]
On the planet Telos, before you kill the exchange boss, you can find a guard who refuses to allow you entry. You can then kill him, which grants you Dark Side points. Then you can advance to the next area. If you backtrack, the guard will have returned, and you can repeat the process. This is an easy way to build up Dark Side points and EXP, if desired.

Unlimited Darkside Points[edit]
During your first duel with the handmaiden, bring her HP to zero. She will not forfeit in spite of that, meaning that you can't actually win the duel, but by doing so you'll activate a conversational path that ends with 'I did this to teach you, not to humiliate you - that was merely a bonus.' You'll receive Darkside points as your reward. Repeat the process as often as you like.

Free The Nadd's Tomb[edit]
In Freedon Nadd's tomb there are two rooms containing boxes which may only be opened by a computer terminal. The first box gives you the choices of A) feb, B) dce, C) eba, D) fac, E) fdc, F) acd. The terminal asks you to choose which of these has an error and the correct choice is 'C'.
The second box the computer terminal gives you an equation to solve (6_2)_8_9_1=13. The answer to this question is (6*2)-8+9*1=13. If you remember your order of operations from grade school, this should be easy!
Duplicate Lightsaber Forever[edit]
Once you get Visas Mar as a character (do not kill her)and after you get your lightsaber, equip it to Visas. Go to any workbench select her lightsaber and change the crystal color (middle box) by selecting assemble and then go back into her lightsaber but do not do anything but press assemble again. You will have two of the exact same lightsaber. Exit the workbench and press start and then save after you saved, load the game. You will have the duplicated lightsaber forever.
More Infinite Experience[edit]
Here's a way to score infinite experience points. Head to Dantooine and enter the Kinrath Nest. Defeat Kinrath and its hatchlings, but don't advance to find Master Vrook. Instead, press start and switch characters, and then begin to walk back towards the entrance. When you do this, hatchlings will materialize and attack. Kill them, and then repeat the process over and over again for infinite experience.
Budget Premium Items[edit]
On Telos, after you acquire the 'modified hold out blaster' Take it to the TSF who agreed to help find the source of black market goods. Go to the shop, show the blaster to Samhan he will then tell you he is the source. Double cross him and get him put into jail.
After you finish talking to the TSF captain you must talk to Samhan in the the Force Cage and then speak immediately to Samhan's brother. Ask to see his inventory then exit. Save a game (just in case) and then talk to the brother again. The brother talks to Samhan if you did the quest correctly.
Now when you speak to Samhan's brother and shop, his inventory will have changed dramatically, with items such as the charric, tech specialist belt, Zabrak heavy blaster, Sith tremor sword etc etc. All items are a lot cheaper and have better prices for anything you want to sell. (If there's nothing you want, reload the save you just made as the inventory items are random).<P>

Sure-Fire Silver Lightsaber[edit]
<P>On Nar Shadaa there are two merchants, Geeda and Oondar. If you talk to Oondar he will complain about a Not-male Rodian. Ask him why there is no line and he will tell you about Geeda after that, choose the dialogue option about her. If you help him he will give you a discount.
Proceed to speak to Geeda about Oondar and she will give you a discount. Talk to Oondar again and he will threaten you. Tell Geeda about the deal, and she will say you have to choose between Oondar or herself. Side with Geeda and ask about opening trade routes. She will tell you that she can trade with Dantooine and Onderon if you resolve the situiations on them.
Complete Dantooine then talk to her about opening trade routes then about Dantooine. She will have more items to sell, including a Silver Lightsaber. <P>

Pimp The Handmaiden (Infinite Credits)[edit]
<P>You can do this glitch only on the Ebon Hawk and if you have access with Hand Maiden.
1: Spar with Handmaiden.
2: Finish and put some clothes on your character.
3: Talk to Handmaiden and choose the dialogue 'Do you think you could put some clothes on?'. Reply with 'I disagree.'
4: Exit the conversation and take her robe off. (You can switch between any characters in the menu with BLACK).
5: Repeat until bored, then sell each robe for 2200 credits.

I was using the 'Pimp the Handmaiden' exploit wherein you ask her to put on some clothes, disagree, and exit; take off the Jedi robes and I found some kind of overflow error.
I was using the 'Pimp the Handmaiden' exploit wherein you ask her to put on some clothes, disagree, and exit; take off the Jedi robes and I found some kind of overflow error.
I had not 'leveled-up' the handmaiden or equipped any sort of weapon, armor, accessories on her. I had acquired 10-15 sets of the 'Handmaiden robes'. I had left her with no robes on. I went to the workbench on Ebon Hawk. No glitch found. I got another 10-15 robes, again using the 'pimp-the-handmaiden cheat'. I went back to Telos, to the vendor in the entertainment module where I had completed the 'smugglers sidequests'. I then attempted to sell the 'handmaiden robes' & found to my surprise I had, in my inventory, 3-5 sets of 99 Handmaiden Robes. They sold for 2,600 each. I sold all but one set. I walked ten feet to the workbench in the same room. I selected the 'create/breakdown items' and also found I had sets of 99 handmaiden robes (I had one full set of 99 left). I broke them down for 120 components each. I left one set of one handmaiden robes in my inventory.
Current Position: I spent about an hour or so going back to the Ebon Hawk (now on Telos) and repeating (each time getting like 10-15 handmaiden robes). This cheat has worked repeatedly. I have sold the vendor over 1000 of these robes and another 99 in his regular inventory. I have broken down 300+ robes at the workbench. I now have over 3 MILLION credits and many thousands of components. This took about 5 or 6 trips with 10-15 handmaiden robes. I am playing a Counselor, level 12, just finished Telos, haven't gone anywhere else, trained with the Handmaiden once (kicked her butt). Beat all the Handmaidens in the Hidden Jedi Academy on Telos. Started out darkside, switched to lightside (so I change change Bao-Dur, et al., to Jedis, am planning switch back to darkside because I'm a counsular-duh.)
Although I have not tried other vendors, it did not work on the workbench in the Ebon Hawk. I have not tried in other play throughs. The cool thing is I have all the credits and components to buy or make whatever I want throughout the rest of the game.

Datapad Recycling[edit]
<P>Are you tired of carrying around OLD and UNNEEDED Datapads? Simply go to a Workbench, and break them down to get 1 Component(s). You don't get a lot of Components, but it is a way to get rid of unwanted Datapads. Only breakdown Datapads from missions that you have completed, or even better, Datapads from Peragus. Peragus Datapads are just one example. Another example is after you goto Nar Shadda, Dantooine, Telos (the first time), Dxun/Onderon, and Korriban. Once you goto Telos/Citadel Station for the Second time, you can use the Workbench at the 'merchant area' in the Entertainment Module, to get rid of any unwanted/unneeded Datapads.
Handmaiden Handiness[edit]
After you have sparred with Handmaiden, she will be wearing only underwear. When you talk her into putting something on, she uses her mother's robes. Whenever, you leave the Ebon hawk with her, Take the robes off and leave her without clothes. Return to the Ebon Hawk and talk her into wearing the robes again. When you leave the Hawk one more time, remove the robes again. You will see that there are two in your inventory list instead of one. You can do this as many times as you want. They can sell for 1800 credits each and break down for 200 parts when creating other items.
Duplicate Lightsaber[edit]
To duplicate a lightsaber use a work bench and update a Jedi companion’s lighsaber. Change the color crystals (needed to work) and assemble. Select the same saber and click color crystal again but don’t change, on the screen that shows all the color crystals press X. you should now have two of the same light sabers in your inventory. Save and reload so the game doesn’t glitch and restart.
Super Lightsaber[edit]
You can have three crystals in one saber. For this to work you need 2 of the same crystal. Remove all of the power crystals from your saber and assemble. Now place a good crystal in the bottom slot. Exit the work bench after you assemble. Reenter the work bench and on the saber put the same crystal in top as you did in the bottom and assemble. Now don’t exit the workbench but go back into the saber assembly and there should be a free spot on the bottom. Now you have 3 crystals in your saber. Save and reload so it doesn’t glitch.
Beat Master Vrook[edit]
On Dantooine, you'll have to face Master Vrook if you've chosen the dark path. He continuously uses the defensive force stance and heals himself almost every time you attack him. The easiest way to beat him is to cast whatever level of Jedi speed you have training in, run to the back of the room behind either tree, and hide. This will allow you time to heal if you've run low of health or force points. Get Vrook to follow you behind one of the trees and loose him there, so he stays back behind the tree and you end up in the open room. While he's behind the tree plant a lot of mines in the path between you and Vrook. Get his attention and make sure he takes a direct path to you through the mines. Vrook hits the mines like a crazed bantha getting zapped with a Ghed stun stick and poof - ends up parts and pieces everywhere.
Mira and the Force[edit]
Later in the game after you have high influence with Mira (after Nar Shaada) there are a new line of questions that appear. Eventually a topic will come about Kreia telling you about the forces Nar Shaada posses. At one time in front of the cantina/pazakk entrance a split screen appeared and she spoke of the forces around you. Speak to Mira after gaining high influence over her and the option to show here the force of Nar Shaada will become available. Tell her you will take her to the spot where Kreia showed you earlier and then take her to the spot. Another split screen will appear without you bringing up a dialogue box.
Mandalorian Battle Circle[edit]
If you are have difficulty defeating the more advanced fighters on Dxun, simply cast the force powers you want to use during the fight right before you talk to the Mandalorian Sergeant. Once you do that, speak with him and tell him you want to fight, after this you can enter a fight already having the effects of your force powers, without being disqualified.
Bao-Dur Uses the Force[edit]
Once you have a high influence with Bao-Dur a new line of questions opens up. This only happens once so pay attention. He will tell you that traveling with you has had an effect on him. After this an offer to train him appears and if you both have the same alignment he agrees.
Ultima Pearl[edit]
Upon the participation of the invasion/defense of Onderon Palace, you will find a terminal with (3) numerical riddles which only have a one shot chance. You fail, it is locked permanently.
The codes are: 1)66 2)45 3)39
<P>Inside this locked room is a rare item called the Ultima Pearl. It is a rare light saber crystal that contains stats: Damage +2, Attack +3, and Mass Criticals 1-6.

Secret Compartment on Ebon Hawk[edit]
Ask the 'Original owner' of the Ebon Hawk (Nar Shaadda) for proof of ownership of the Ebon Hawk and he will rattle off Ebon Hawk facts including the location of 2 secret compartments. They can’t be found unless you do this. Sadly the smugglers compartment was removed. But one secret compartment remains in the starboard side. Be 'nice' to the chap.
Persuade Handmaiden to Become Jedi[edit]
You need to have a high influence with Handmaiden & have completed training with her. This is done after finishing on Nar Shadda as the third or fourth planet. Find out that her mother was a Jedi from Kreia. After a long talk with the Handmaiden you have the option to train her in the force. If you agree to train her, you will get a nice cut-screen.
Nar Shadah Lock Code[edit]
On Nar Shadah there is a locking mechanism that you'll need to get past in order to save one of your characters.
You must make the top code match the bottom code to proceed. Simply pick Rotate middle set counter-clockwise, Rotate left set counter-clockwise, Rotate right set clockwise.<p>

Persuade Atton To Become Jedi[edit]
<P>You must have a high influence over Atton for this to work (Ed - Well, duh.)
When playing through as a good Jedi, go to Nar Shadda as your third or fourth world (it may or may not work earlier). DO NOT take Atton with you. Go to the refugee area and explore it thoroughly; a couple of Twi'leks will come up to you and tell you something about Atton's past.
Return to the Ebon Hawk, and talk to Atton. Play nice, get his side of the story, and eventually you'll get the option of offering to teach him to use the Force. He may or may not take you up on it the first time, but with enough persistence and influence you'll get him to agree to be taught.
Voila! One more Jedi Sentinel to add to your collection, as well as the dubious pleasure of seeing Atton in Jedi robes.<P>

Power Wookie[edit]
<P>When you take the path of the male dark Jedi, you can gain influence with Hanharr, the wookie, until you are able to ask him why he follows you. When you have enough influence, respond with the following:
'Why do you follow me?'
'Does that mean you serve me?'
'What is this debt that you speak of?'
After this, always choose the first choice. If you have enough influence, the scene will tell you influence: failure one time, then it'll say influence:success after that. Doing this will give Hanharr +2 Strength and -2 Intelligence. Each time you do this, you'll get dark side points and 1000 experience.

Here's where the best part is. If you get his intelligence to 0 and do it again, you'll go up to 253 intelligence! Caution: If you do this too much you will get his strength too high then the game won't save properly. If it saves, the glitch is fine.
Revive Dead Party Members[edit]
If one or both of your teammates is killed in a battle, get your own character to a safe distance out of battle and have them use an item that does not bring anything up on the screen.
For example: a speeder that is lying out in the open, or a door that won't open. After you use it your partner(s) will stand up and continue attacking. However, when they get back up their health will be extremely low.<P>

Cheat Node[edit]
<P>The Cheat Node is a menu that can be accessed in the backrooms of the Jekk'Jekk Tar tunnels. Much like the galaxy droid from the original game, there are interesting features in this hidden menu. Some of them skip you ahead in the area, such as 'Skip to final final sequence', while others seemingly do nothing, such as 'Delete Mira'.
To access the Cheat Node, you need to climb out of the pit after defeating your opponent (Mira or Hanharr). Go through the door that leads out of the pit, after defeating the Ubese, then take the left most door. There is another door straight ahead of this where the Node is. Upon entering this room, defeating the 3 Ubese, and immediately after you defeat the last Ubese, you need to move your character to the wall directly opposite of the door and keep moving towards it.
If done correctly, your targeting reticule will go blue and select the wall for a split second. Hit A immediately. You are now in conversation mode with a Ubese who is beh ind the wall in the room with the Exit. You are now able to access the Cheat Node.<p>

Heal And Attack In The Same Round[edit]
<P>In order to do this, the character must be using one of the force cure powers, first, in combat, use the force heal power. Then, quickly switch over to your combat options (Simply press the white button and pause it if your not quick enough) be ready, because when the animation for the force heal starts, you want to choose one of your combat options. This will make it look as if you have two actions cued up, two instances of the combat option you chose.
This is good, as the second choice will change into your force heal. Continue to choose the combat option as your force heal animation comes up and your character will continuously use an attack option and heal themselves in the same round. I used Master Heal and Flurry with this, and it took me through the last several planets of the game. It's ideal for the more difficult encounters.<P>

Beating Master Vrook[edit]
If you go dark side you will have to face Master Vrook <P>in a one on one duel. Master Vrook is one tough customer. After several attempts I found the way to beat him is to have the force focus power active (the little purple sphere). And keep hitting him with Force lightnings. Once you get him low enough, Kreia will interrupt and give you a new Force form. It looks like another purple sphere, but it absorbs the Force from the opponent. When you continue, Vrook will try to heal himself (you probably should too).
Make sure the new ability is active and use Plague on him. With it's 100% chance of hitting it's really the only thing that works. But every time you get him with that he will try to heal the poison. Keep alternating Plage and Force lightning. He will run out of Force and start attacking you again. Just keep nailing him with Force lightning, and when he has only a quarter of his strength left he will colapse, and you've won.<p>

Fastest Method To Assemble Lightsaber[edit]
<P>As soon as you leave Telos travel to Nar Shaddaa. Once there proceed into the central area and find the zoning door to the Docks. Halfway across the Docks will be a door that leads to the Flophouse. Go to the end of the hallway of this flophouse and the second to last door has a guy named Lootra. Taunt him into attacking. Also note that any characters you can have in your party at this point will lose influence with you if they are with you when you kill him, so go alone. His corpse will have a lightsaber part, there is a quest that as a reward he gives this part to you but the dark side gain is minimal even for lightside characters.
Next if your alignment bar is about 25% good or bad you can return to the Ebon Hawk for a special fight which will get you the last lightsaber part. If you are not 25% good or bad there are tons of things to do in Nar Shaddaa to get the last of the points you need.(If you do not have a colored lightsaber crystal the merchant Geeda will h ave one you can buy so don't scare her away) Now talk to Bao-Dur to have your saber made. <P>

Disciple A Jedi[edit]
<P>After you have finished Korriban talk to Disciple while your inside the Ebon Hawk. He will explain his history about how he once was able to use the Force, but he lost the ability when he was younger. Then tell him that he maybe able to return that power. If Your influence is strong enough he will trust you and you will train him. Disciple will then become a Jedi Counsular.
Handmaiden Robes[edit]
Whenever the Handmaiden teaches you more fighting moves, you both remove the clothes or armor you are wearing. After you fight, she does not put her clothes back on herself. Instead of going to the Equip screen and reequipping her with her robes; put clothes on yourself and talk to her and tell her that she should put some clothes on. She will then put on her robes and when you check the inventory, you'll find you have more than one. This works every time you have the conversation with her. No one else can equip the robes, but they do bring in a couple thousand credits for each. They can also be broken down into components.
Light Side points[edit]
On the secret Jedi base on Telos, you can speak to the handmaiden repeatedly to gain infinite light side points.
Infinite Experience[edit]
On Narshadaa there is a speeder that needs to be repaired. Get the navigation interface from the droid vendor or shop and install one part. Choose to repair the speeder and it will give you the experience and the part back. Repeat this to gain infinite experience.
Easily Win Swoop Race[edit]
This works in every swoop race except for the one on Nar Shadaa. Purposely direct your swoop craft into a striped barrier. Just before you hit the wall hit the START button. This will bring up an option to forfeit the race. Hit A and the swoop will drift forward a bit until it hits the wall. Your race time will be whatever time was displayed when you crashed.
Unlimited Experience[edit]
In the Sith tomb inside the Shyrack cave on Korriban there is room that contains the body of a dead Jedi. Every time you search the body a pair of Hssiss appear in the room. Keep searching and killing to level up as much as you want. The death field power speeds things up and keeps you healthy in the process.
Note: Two Hssiss appear EVERY time you search the body. More than 30 or so will seriously compromise your Xbox's health.
Unlimited Dark Side Points[edit]
At one point during the Czerka/Ithorian Conflict on Telos, a band of Mercenaries attack the Ithorian Complex. You receive a call from Mozo, who is holed up in the vivarium. When you come to his rescue and wipe out the Mercenaries, he thanks you and offers you a keycard. Ask for a reward, and when he offers you none, leave him to fend for himself, and then say 'Better you than me'. You will receive dark side points. The best part is, you can keep repeating this over and over again for as long as you want for unlimited dark side points!
Change Voices[edit]
Add a controller to the fourth port and press BLACK or WHITE to raise and lower their voice.
Unlimited EXP gain for BOTH light and dark side characters
IMPORTANT: FOR THIS TO WORK YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 (ONE) POINT PAID INTO DEMOLITION SKILL
The first thing you need is a total of 30 mines. It doesn't matter what difficulty since you get the same points for minor mine recovery as you do the higher grades. This 'cheat' is MOST effective if Kreia is part of your party but her presence is NOT necessary. It just takes a little longer to level up without her as she provides you a small exp boost with each action.
Find the boundary between one area and another. ie where the 'loading' screen comes up. Just before exiting the area plant 15 mines (this is the most you're allowed to place in any area) but do NOT recover them yet. Once that's done exit the area. On the other side of the boundary plant the remaining 15 mines. Again do NOT recover mines you just planted. In order to gain EXP you must leave that area before recovering them.
Instead go back through the boundary and recover the first 15 mines you planted. Each recovered mine gives you one percent of the EXP gap between the level you are and the next level. So if there's say 1400 points between lv 1 and 14 (there is) each recovered mine is worth 140 exp. If Kreia's with you there's a small additional bonus per mine (about 5 points at bottom and ten at the top). Replant the mines after you've recovered them all and return to the second set of mines. Recover them, replant, go back to the other side of the boundary and repeat as many times as you want. I did this and by the time I got bored I left Peragus as a Level 40 consular.
Comments
I've started playing KOTOR 2 for the second time now, wanting to try a Dark Side character. I remember when I played the first time (as Light Side) that you can convert some character to jedi. I've been trying to do this the other way around, as in turn them into sith. It doens't work very well, because I don't have much influence with some characters due to being manipulative ass. I even picked the Sith Lord prestige class because it supposedly would let me manipulate my companions better. I read somewhere that to convert them to dark side you actually should lose infuence with them, but I couldn't find any conformation on that.
So, my question is: does anyone here know how to convert my companions to sith?
p.s. On a side note: the alignment of my companions seems to fluctuate from time to time. Sometimes they register as dark side, but when I take them out they return to their previous alignment. For example: on the Ebon Hawk the party screen showed Bao-Dur as Dark Side, but outside the ship he was back at neutral. Also happened with Atton, T3 and Disciple. Seems like a bug. Anyone know a fix for it?
Kriea is the first person you will encounter in the game. She doesn't join you at first, but immediately enters your mind to provide advice throughout the journey. Her most powerful attribute is her ability to wield the force. This means that she works well as a ranged character and should be equipped with a blaster rifle or pistol.
Influence
Kreia can be a difficult character to read but there is one thing that will always please her: manipulation. Be sure to speak to Kreia once you have reached level 15 and have a very strong alignment in either direction. At this point she will give you access to the addition classes that come with being evil or good. When you recieve your personalized lightsaber crystal in the Crystal Caves of Dantooine, speak with Kreia and she will center the crystal on your alignment and make it more powerful.

T3-M4
T3.jpg
If you choose to play the prologue (or have play'ed the first game) you will become famliar with T3 quickly. Droids are useful for' ranged combat and immunity to force powers. T3 also has a very high intelligence.
Influence
Keeping T3 on your side involves speaking kindly to him. This will usually entail choosing the lighter side of a conversation. If you are looking to be evil, abuse T3 at every opportunity. He can even be sold for scrap on Nar Shaddaa, although he will return later in the game. If you gain enough influence with T3 you will have the option to permanently upgrade his capabilities. This will also depend on your computer, intelligence, and repair skills. You can upgrade him a total of four times. The last time will give you the ability to heal droids through the force.

Scoundrel
Atton Rand.png
Atton appears on the mining colony of Peragus trapped behind a force shield. If you choose to play as a female he will show more interest in getting to know you. The scoundrel class grants Atton the ability to return to battle after loosing all of his health. He also has the survival skill which makes it harder to inflict damage on him as his health depletes. At first, Atton is better as a ranged fighter, but as you increase his damage and melee skills he can become a formidable soldier at close range.
Influence
Atton can be trained in the ways of a Jedi Sentinel if you play your cards right. In order to accomplish this you must go to the refugee section on Nar Shaddaa without Atton. Two Twi'leks will approach you and give you information regarding Atton's past. Return to the ship and question Atton on the subject. If you have sufficient influence with him he will confess to his shady past and ask to be trained as a Jedi.

This old friend served in the Mandalorian Wars with you. He has impressive skills with computers and as he gains in levels he will upgrade any droids that have joined your team. He can also give you an infinite number of shields if you have influence over him. Use his shield breaker technique to break through the annoying barriers that enemies will sometimes put up.
Influence
Bao-Dur can also be trained as a Jedi Guardian. You must have considerable influence over him and he will bring up a new line of conversation. He will voice his luck with being reunited with you and begin training.

Your character must be male for the Handmaiden to join you after leave Telos. She has the Echani strike ability and is an incredibly powerful unarmed specialist.
Influence
The Handmaiden can be trained to become a Jedi Guardian if you choose to pay her special attention throughout the game. When she appears on the Ebon Hawk you will have three opportunities to battle with her. These battles will have the same rules as the earlier Echani duels on Telos. You must defeat her and then ask Kreia about her lineage. When you find out about her mother, return to the Handmaiden and convince her to train as a Jedi. Whether or not you convince her to study the force, the Handmaiden is one of the game's most powerful characters and can be helpful in any battle.

Combat Droid
WeatheredHK-47-K2.jpg
HK-47 is an assasin droid that you may remember from the first game. His disassembled body can be found in the storage room of the Ebon Hawk. HK is very useful as a ranged fighter and can be especially deadly with a powerful blaster rifle. In order to reactivate this droid you will need to find his missing components scattered around the galaxy. As a rule, be sure to search the wreckage after a battle against other HK droids. Here is where the parts are found:
1. Search the wreckage after the HK attack inside the mines on Peragus.
2. Buy parts from Kodin on Nar Shaddaa.
3. Search the wreckage after the HK attack on T3 inside of Voga's warehouse.
4. Buy parts from 1B-8D in the western square on Onderon.
5. A fifth but unnecessary part can be found by siding with the female trader Greeda on Nar Shaddaa. Once you complete all missions on Dantooine and Onderon return to Greeda and she will offer you improved items at a lower price. One of these items is a behavior modification part that can be installed in HK.

Gaining influence with HK-47 is a relatively simple procedure. Just act as evil as possible when he is on your team and he will develop beaming admiration for the depraved quality of your personality.

Jedi Sentinel
Visas High Rez.jpg
After Visas attacks you on the Ebon Hawk she will hang around the ship and meditate. This Jedi Sentinel will develop very strong force powers and is probably the best companion to have in battle besides the Handmaiden.
Influence
Developing your influence over Visas Marr often requires using light side responses. You should speak about stopping her former master and saving her from the trappings of the dark side. Once you have gained enough influence over her, ask her about the blindness of her people. A conversation thread will appear that asks her how she sees through the force and she will teach you the Force Site technique. This can be used to see through walls and gives a bonus to your force points and experience.

When you encounter the bounty hunters on Nar Shaddaa, Hanharr will join the team if your character has fallen to the dark side by a significant margin. If you are a light side character you will be joined by his rival Mira. Hanharr has the Wookiee Rage technique which adds a bonus to his damage and makes him nearly unstoppable in hand to hand combat. Wookiees can't wear implants or armor, but his boosted stats more than make up for this.
Influence
In order to gain respect from Hanharr you are going to have to take command over him. Choose whatever conversation options seem the harshest and you will accrue small amounts of influence with the creature. Some of these responses include:

Mira High Rez.jpg
If you decide to take the path towards the light side, Mira will join you on Nar Shaddaa instead of Hanharr. While Hanharr is an impressive melee fighter, Mira excels at ranged attacks. She has a special attack that is launched from her wrist rocket launcher. She can also develop an incredibly accurate shot which makes her a deadly sniper. Mira will make you an infinite supply of grenades. At first she only creates the non-lethal variety, but with a high demolition or persuade skill you can convince her to up the power of the weapons.
Influence
In order to gain influence over Mira you must remark that she seems to be more comfortable on your ship. Then you must speak to her directly after meeting the Twin Suns on Nar Shaddaa. Training Mira to become a Jedi is only semi-useful because she is best suited to ranged attacks with grenades and rifles.

Expert Droid

G0-T0 joins the party after the quest to board his ship on Nar Shaddaa. He is an expert droid that is skilled at stealth attacks and using the work bench. As a floating droid he can also move through mine fields without triggering the explosion. This droid can create free security tunnelers for you at any time.
Influence
During your conversations with the droid you can immediately lose influence by insulting his capabilities. Make sure to praise the droid's skills so he will become more trusting. He will also be pleased by any opinions that are in favor of a strong republic, whether these are light or dark comments. G0-T0 can offer you a bonus quest if you ask him how you can save the republic. Take the light side on the main quests on Dantooine and Onderon and speak to him afterwards and he will reward you with 4,000 credits. Once you complete the Nar Shaddaa quests and have influence over the droid, you can reveal his true base of operations.

The best way to gain influence with this warrior is to make statements that praise the act of combat and war. Also, any time you see Mandalorians, approach them with this character to reunite his tribe. A group can be found outside the enclave on Dantooine and in the flop house on Nar Shaddaa. Influence
Speak politely to the Disciple and you will gain influence with him. After a few conversations you can ask him to teach you the meditation skill. This will give your character a force bonus. If you praise the republic and the Disciple's mission, you will gain more influence with him and eventually he will reveal that he is a diplomat.
